The world from above
The launch colourway, ‘Tropical Teal’ is inspired by the first sight of the Caribbean Sea from altitude: that sudden, vivid appearance of impossibly blue-green water, light playing across its surface. The dial captures this in gradient teal with a sun-ray finish, its depth and luminosity shifting with the light. Like its inspiration, the Contour GMT rewards what Beaucroft calls "The Long Look" - the more you give it, the more it gives back.
A dial that floats
The Contour GMT's most arresting feature is its 'Floating Earth' dial, with the concept traced to one of the most iconic images in human history - The first photograph of the Earth taken from space. The whole dial concept started with that question - how do you create sense of something suspended, curved and alive?
The solution was architectural: a raised chapter ring, combined with the controlled distortion of a box-shaped crystal and a deep, dark outer dial finish, creates a compelling optical illusion. The dial appears curved, hovering within the case with an effect that deepens the longer you look.
Designed for motion
The hour markers and hands are engineered to feel aerodynamic by being subtly curved and contoured on both the top and front plane, as though stretching outward across the dial.
The GMT function itself reflects a considered philosophy. Rather than a bold, dominant GMT hand that competes with the main dial, Beaucroft has created a deliberately restrained solution. The stem of the GMT hand is designed to recede into the dial; only its tip, highlighted in contrasting SuperLuminova, draws the eye, pointing quietly but clearly to the home hour.
SWEET SPOT PROPORTIONS & CURVES
The Contour GMT measures 39.5mm in diameter with a 46.5mm lug-to-lug and 12.6mm case height to offer proportions that give the watch genuine presence on the wrist without sacrificing elegance. The case carries Beaucroft's signature flowing lug-to-lug curves, with a combination of brushed, polished and bead-blasted finishing.
A BRACELET THAT TICKS ALL THE BOXES
The bracelet has been developed in close dialogue with the Beaucroft community: fully articulating screw links, a micro-adjustment buckle, double quick-release pins and a scratch-resistant coating deliver a bracelet that is as practical as it is refined. The links taper from 20mm at the lugs to 16mm at the buckle for a natural, wrist-conforming profile.
BRITISH BUILT
Inside, the Miyota 9075 movement is hand-assembled and regulated in the UK by Beaucroft's expert team to ±10 seconds per day. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres.
