All in the detail
The Cambridge Blue is a fresh and striking watch, drawing the eye with its beautifully bold mint colour and contrasting grey accents.
Viewed at an angle you notice that this clean and contemporary dial features 3 subtle levels of depth - the hour hand sweeps around a ring cut into the dial which houses the 2 highly polished ‘teardrops’ which mark the 12 and 6 o’clock positions, the other hours are marked with raised batons which step off from the dial and shine in the light.
A classic on every wrist
Like all our watches, this is a gender neutral watch, and our customers love to wear it in their own unique way. When paired with different straps it changes style dramatically; it can be dressed up with rich leather or dressed down for a casual affair with a fresh nylon fabric. Whichever style of strap you choose, this watch can add a splash of character and intrigue to any outfit.
Beautiful mechanical timekeeping
The Senate is powered by the Japanese made Miyota Cal. 9039; this premium automatic movement is one of Japan’s fined mechanical movements with it’s super slim profile, excellent reliability and robustness, and a modest 42 hours power reserve when fully wound. With the sapphire glass display back to the Senate's casework it's craftsmanship can be admired at every opportunity.
The Senate measures 40mm in diameter, a great size for most wrists, and features 18mm lugs for a slim and elegant strap. The Senate has a low profile with depth of 10mm, allowing it to slide comfortably under cuffs and coats. It’s 44.4mm lug-to-lug sizing complements its proportions and placement on the wrist.
The Senate's unique 3 part case is designed to stand proudly off the wrist due to it’s elegant tapered diamond shape. Made from high grade 316L stainless steel and with a mix of highly polished and satin finishes the Senate catches your attention - It’s sweeping curves and screwless design give it a clean and elegant form. This is a watch that stands out from others, with classic understated elegance.

Cambridge blue, an iconic colour with a history of success
Whenever you walk through the streets Cambridge you’ll see flashes of the iconic Cambridge Blue colour; with shops, front doors, rowing oars and even pubs adopting this unique colour.
The history of the colour, and its legendary ties to the city stretch back to 1836; it was the second Boat Race, and three member of the Cambridge crew were rowing for Gonville & Caius College. With pride for their college and boat club they wore light blue ribbons, their College’s primary colour. These blue ribbons glistened in the sun as Cambridge gained an incredible 20 length over Oxford. After the event, the University Boat Club asked the college if the University could adopt this colour as their signature colour.
Since then any Cambridge first team who take on Oxford in a final may wear a blue silk tie to mark this achievement.
